Membership Information

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES 

 WYF accepts the following membership categories:  

  1. Full Member Associations (National YUYUTSU Federations); 
  2. Associated Members; 
  3. Affiliated Members;
  4. Honorary Members;
  5. Individual Members;

Full MEMBER ASSOCIATIONS 

APPLICATION

  1. National YUYUTSU Federations may at any time submit a written application for membership with WYF.  
  • Applications for membership must fulfil the following requirements:  
  • WYF application form must be completed and duly signed by the president and the secretary general of the applicant Federation; 
  • the applicant Federation must provide written evidence that it  
  • is a registered body (or applied for registration) of the supreme sports authority of its country irrespective of the private or public legal status of such authority, or 
  • is formally recognised (or applying for formal recognition) by the supreme authority of its country irrespective of the private or public legal status of such authority; 
  • the Federation must confirm in writing, that  
  • it will abide by the WYF Statutes Rules and Regulations, hold annual national YUYUTSU championships, and regularly participate in International Championships; 
  • it will pay the WYF membership fees as resolved by the Congress; 
  • the president of the applicant is a citizen or permanent resident of the applicant’s country; 
  1. The application must be accompanied by  
  2. the statutes and competition rules of the applying National federation, which must ensure that its members and all YUYUTSU athletes shall be bound by the WYF Statutes, rules and regulations; 
  3. a list of the members of the executive body of the applicant; 
  4. a document from the state register for sports organisations or registration certificate or certificate of incorporation (if available); 
  1. The application for Membership must be submitted to the Executive Committee for review. The Executive Committee has the right to reject or return incomplete or defective applications for completion or correction. 
  1. The Executive Committee shall submit correct applications to the Congress for grant of approval of membership. 
  1. Decisions on applications for membership are made by the Congress, which has full discretion in accepting or rejecting membership applications. If the Congress accepts an application, the applicant is considered a Member Association from the day of acceptance itself. 
  1. WYF may accept as Full Member Association only one Yuyutsu Federation per country.  

Rights of Member Associations

  1. Each Member Association has the right: 
  • to participate in the World Championships and/or WYF International Competitions and events; 
  • to organise national and international YUYUTSU competitions in their nation; 
  • to attend and speak at the Congress and vote on all agenda items and nominate candidates to the bodies of WYF who must be members of that Member Association and must be citizens or permanent residents of the country. The   right to vote by any Member may be suspended by the Congress upon request of the Executive Committee if a Member Association has failed to participate in the World Championships, does not hold annual national championship or has failed to pay the WYF annual membership fee in time; 

Duties of Full Member Associations

  1. The full Member Associations must take the necessary measures to ensure that their individual members, participants (e.g. regional associations, clubs and athletes) shall be subject to the WYF Statutes, to the WYF Rules and Regulations and abide by the resolutions taken by the Congress and the Executive Committee. 
  • Each Full Member Association must submit reports and documents to WYF in accordance with the WYF resolutions, hold national YUYUTSU championships annually, and participate regularly in WYF International Competitions and events. 
  • No Member Association or member thereof (including the athletes) is entitled to participate in international YUYUTSU events, nor to receive prizes or awards from such events unless such events have been approved by WYF. 
  • Full Member Associations and their athletes may only take part in YUYUTSU competitions organised by WYF Full Member Associations.  
  • Full Member Associations are responsible for organising their own domestic YUYUTSU competitions in their countries. 
  • The Member Associations must pay to WYF membership fees annually, as determined by the

Congress.

  • The Full Member Associations must respect and follow the grading systems of WYF. 

Termination of Membership 

  1. Membership in WYF ends if one of the following events occur: 
  • liquidation of the Member Association; 
  • secession of the Member Association from WYF; 
  • expulsion from WYF; 
  • cancellation of the membership of the Member Association with, the supreme private or state sport authority or the registration authority of its country; 
  • WYF Membership of a Member Association may be cancelled by the Congress for causes, such as: 
  • repeated failure to pay the annual membership fee in time; 
  • failure to develop the sport of YUYUTSU in its territory; 
  • pursuing objectives that run counter to the WYF Statutes;  
  • material breach of the Statutes, Rules and Regulations of WYF;  
  • repeated non-participation in the World YUYUTSU Championships; 
  1. Full Member Associations may withdraw their membership at any time by a six (6) months prior written notice to the WYF Executive Committee. Paid membership fees will not be refunded. Any outstanding annual membership fees remain due until the end of the year of withdrawal.  

ASSOCIATED MEMBERS 

  1. WYF may accept Associated Members (organisations and individuals) that provide practical assistance in the promotion of YUYUTSU. They are selected by the WYF Congress based on the recommendations of the corresponding Member Association or of the WYF Executive Committee. 
  • Associated Members may participate in all National and International WYF events, but they are not entitled to vote. They are also not obliged to pay WYF membership fees.

AFFILIATED MEMBERS

  1. WYF may accept Affiliated Members (Organizations and Individuals) that promoting Yuyutsu Martial Art Style in their respected regions, they are selected by the WYF Executive Board after review their membership request, all practitioners and clubs of Yuyutsu from around the world are eligible to apply for affiliated membership.
  2. Affiliated Members may participate in all National and International WYF events; they can use grading system of WYF for their members to be graded, but they are not entitled to vote.

HONORARY MEMBERS 

  1. Honorary Members can be appointed by the Congress based on a proposal of a Member Association or the Executive Committee. Honorary Members may be individuals, companies, associations or other public organisations which contribute in an extraordinary way to the development of the sport of YUYUTSU or provide special services to WYF, as set out in the WYF Regulations on Honorary Members. 
  • Honorary Members may participate in the Congress and other WYF events, but they are not entitled to vote. They are also not obliged to pay WYF membership fees. 

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS

1. WYF may accept individual members, all practitioners and teachers of Yuyutsu or any single person who accept and respect the WYF Statutes can apply for Individual Membership and will be accepted after his/her application review and approved by Executive Committee of WYF. Individual Members can participate in all National and International Events of WYF, but they are not entitled to Vote.
